Error Code P0443
Error Code P0443
Had My 08 G35x Sedan since '11 with never a "Service Engine Soon" light. Live in Midwest and baby my car in maintenance, oil changes and such.
Light came on yesterday and dealer asked $149 to diagnose, no thank you. Went to Autozone and error code P0443 came up.
Description:
EVAP Canister Purge Volume Solenoid Valve
"Indicates a fault in the Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve electrical circuit for a predetermined period of time"
I have noticed no performance or mechanical change in my daily driver so I am hoping this is not as serious a problem as it is (perhaps the sensor needs to be reset, electrical, etc.)
Anyone ever have this issue and what came of it?
Thanks all!

This is the best explanation for P0443 code that I could find: https://www.yourmechanic.com/article...by-jay-safford
I would start with double checking that your fuel cap isn't loose/inspection of said cap. While you're there re-tightening just take a look at the gasket and make sure it's not cracking or has missing chunks (not likely). Then erase the code and see if it comes back
**UPDATE - Started engine a handful of times between error code showing up over last ~24 hours, no issue. This morning, filled up full tank of gas, hit the start engine button, started cranking for four seconds, no lights on dash coming on, had to push the accelerator for engine to start to get to idle. Infrequently over last X amount of time, one in every 100-200 startups, the engine would start and then die, only way it would remain on is if I held accelerator to 2000 rpm then it would go back to normal idling.
I checked the gas cap and the gasket surrounding it, no issues. I will have to take it to an independent mechanic in the Chicagoland area before going to the dealership. Don't want to run the risk of engine cranking on and off.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

If you go to a dealer go to Nissan, not Infiniti. The diagnostic check will probably be the same amount but repairs, is necessary, will be cheaper.
