My new 08 G35x sedan didnt come with an auto-dimming mirror. I want to know if anyone has been able to install a homelink auto-dimming mirror in a base model without the auto dim.

As long as you give it power and ground then it should work. I don't have the FSM for your year and don't know what changed for the wiring but the 2006 gets full time power, ignition power, and ground so this should get you started in the right direction.
