2007 G35x Sedan Wheel bearing confusion O.o

Hello everyone, so I have a 2007 Infiniti G35x Sedan and my front wheel bearing has gone bad. I called a couple of dealers and found that the original parts number was 40202-EG36C which was super-ceded by 40202-EJ70B. So I ordered the part 40202-EJ70B and what came in the mail was 40202-4GE0A? O.o

I read from the DIY post that the correct parts number was 40202-4GA0A back in 2010. Can someone confirm if 40202-4GE0A is the current part number in 2018 that is a direct replacement for my car? I have tried many sources and half says it fits the other half says it doesn't LOL. Thanks in advance!

Infiniti lists (2) different parts based on the production date of your car.

08/01/2007 - 08/01/2008, original p/n 40202-EG06C, superseded by 40202-4GA0A << fits 2WD or AWD
08/01/2006 - 08/01/2008, original p/n 40202-EG36C, superseded by 40202-EJ70B << fits AWD (only)

The part you rec'd doesn't seem to be right at all. Googling that p/n indicates it's for much newer vehicles and the closest is a 2013 G37. I say send it back.

Thanks for the detailed input! I've asked the seller from Infiniti and he confirmed that it is a direct replacement for 40202-EJ70B. I've taken off one of my bearing now and comparing them they do look exactly the same O.o I will be installing it tomorrow so I'll know for sure LOL Will Update for future folks haha.

This will be interesting. I'm afraid a visual comparison may not reveal any differences and you'd need precision measuring tools to be sure. Checking IDs, ODs, depths, etc. We'll see!

Go with Timken next time. Much less moola, good quality and no part # confusion.

Can Confirm!!! I have finished replacing my front wheel bearings now and indeed 40202-4GE0A is the right part number. A lot of websites don't have this updated yet, it is a relatively new part. It is a direct replacement for 40202-EJ70B

The only noticeable difference is that the slot for the ABS sensor on the 4GE0A is larger than that of the EJ70B. But bigger doesn't produce any ABS sensor fitment issues. Went for a test drive and it works fantastic!

Glad it works/fits. The website that I was using for parts look-up is the official Nissan/Infiniti parts site though, not a 3rd-party site, dealer, etc. I would expect that site to have the most up-to-date information.

Mhm! thanks for the input though I wasn't too sure either as half the sites said it doesn't and half does haha. Definitely still helpful!
