I have an 07 G35 Sport, today it rained bad and after getting off work got in and the car wouldn't start. Once I hit the push to start button everything lite up as normal but wouldn't turn over. I had this problem about a month ago after I replaced a battery but the car has been fine since, but today it did it again. I tried about 10 times then the hazards started flashing, I hit the button and they cut off. Finally it started and I drove home about 5 miles, once I got home I cut the car off and tried to restart it to see if it would and it did the same thing, as well the hazards started flashing again. Now they won't go off so I just disconnected the battery. It's a new battery and I've researched and saw where there's a problem with the steering lock mechanism but haven't seen anywhere with also the hazards are going off. I'm thinking it may be two separate problems. Does anyone have any solutions to this issue? Oh yeah I did try the tapping the lock mechanism box under the steering column about 10 mins ago and reinstalled the battery and the car fired right up but the hazards are still flashing so I disconnected the battery again until I can get this figured out. Any help would be appreciated....

 

Sounds like you're getting water inside the IPDM.
