my driver side window button is broken. I’m assuming it was pulled to hard when a friend borrowed my car. The window works fine etc. what is involved in replacing the button? Does the entire button panel need to be replaced? Is it a diy or what kind of shop do you bring it to? Can I order replacement part online?

 

The whole assembly pops off pretty easily. Buy a used one and plug it in. Done!

 

I just replaced my driver's side window switch assembly a few days ago. All you need to do is get a flat head screwdriver and pry up on the entire trim piece. Once it pops up just unplug the wire connectors and then plug in the new one and do the reverse to install. There's a youtube video showing how to do it. Autozone and RockAuto wanted $600, but i got mine off Amazon for $60. So far it has held up. Here's the link.
