11 years of owning the car and this is my first 'big' problem. Anyone else have this issue?
The fan pretty much runs on high as soon as I start the car and kinda fluctuates from 80% to 100% speed. The engine temperature is normal when driving. No engine lights.
Dealer wants $150 to diagnose the problem but I thought I'd try here. I also saw that its $50 online for a fan control module, should I just replace that and take a chance instead of paying for a diagnostic.

 

Is your air conditioner on? The fan will run all the time if the AC is running.

the dealership took a brief look at it and told me what i wrote on my original post," the radiator fan is running on max and the engine temp is normal, it will be $150~ to diagnose the problem"

 

Any resolution on this? I have the same issue on my 08 G35S 6MT. I'm about to just buy a new cooling fan control module and swap it out.

UPDATE - Purchased OEM FCM from dealer and replaced it today. The issue is gone.

 

i’m having this same problem my fans always run and then shut off for about a 1 min and then back to running full speed. my temp gauge is always fine. what should i do

my turns on as soon as i turn my key to the on position any clue??
