So all you guys think its Cam/crank sensors? My car runs so good except for 2 3 mins post warm up, that i have lived with it like this for heck 4-5 years, car has never had its CEL illuminated. I still don't know what to do about it.....
Cam and crank sensors would definitely illuminate the check engine light though. So thats what makes your issue puzzling. Are u sure your check engine light works?
Man you gotta maintain your car better bro .
I know you're broke and in college but still there's no excuse for slacking , might as well be a woman driver.
Start by topping up all your fluids, 9 months is way to long to not pop open your hood.
No offense but I bet your car is dirty .
Change your air filters
Fuel injection cleaner in the tank
Only premium high octane gas
Report back bro.

My problem was not the result of a CEL. It never tripped and never left a code in diagnostics. I went that route(sensors) because of the information I found here and verified other places about the sensor issue. I replaced them all as insurance and the fix was immediate. Side note: if you have any type leak on the perimeter of the left side valve cover it can sometimes work it's way around to the back and run/drip down to the crankshaft sensor.
Cam sensor intermittent failure usually won't illuminate the CEL, it will store as a hidden DTC that you'll find when you scan the car. If it's a complete failure then it will turn the CEL light on.
First things first, scan the car right after having the problem, self clearing codes like this don't last very long in the ECM memory.
Ok, yes i have not even >ahem< scanned the car so i have to get off my **** and at least see whats stored... The car does it every time i drive it, although it has to be a >cold< start, warm, or hot starts, it does NOT due these, bogs, misses, or hiccups.....
I haven't seen that TSB but it makes sense. On the 07'-08' G35X cars the first ECU's are a A,B,C revision. I changed my brothers 08' G35x car from a "A" revision ECU to the latest "D" revision ECU and there were quite a few differences. It even rescaled the gas pedal so the car wasn't so jumpy off the start. I also hear there is a TCU update from the 1st gen V36 models too.
I had several flashes over the years.... the one above, the over-sensitive throttle, and another for radar cruise throttle going down hill. I can't remember if I am on C or D at this point.
Yes i remember all those, (since i have been on here since almost the beginning) However, i actually liked the hyper sensitive throttle response on these cars since day one, so i never did anything about it.....
I would have but the issues which cropped up on mine were too much for the wife so pursued the flashes. One could always drop a Pedal Commander to increase throttle sensitivity. I have a PC on a GX 460 of all things and on extreme sport setting it feels like stock '07 G35 flash for throttle tip in sensitivity.
