Can't get cooling fan bolts out

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me...

Wanted to do a simple swap of my drive belt today ('08 G35), and diagnose a noisy pulley. I was following along with the service manual: remove coolant reservoir, remove LH air box, remove under cover (PITA from a bunch of rusted bolts), remove coolant fans...

Problem is, the two bolts holding the coolant fan assembly on will just turn continuously, they won't come out. On one side, the grommet just squishes around with the bolt, but on either side, the bolt won't actually move outwards. I've tried applying some outward pressure/prying them while turning with a socket, but no go.

I actually found this guide after I started, and it seems pretty straightforward. The bolts I'm talking about are in step #2 there.

I tried squeezing in different 1/2" drive ratchets, breaker bars, and U-joint adapter on the tensioner with the fans still in, but they're all too thick.

Anyone have this issue? Any suggestions? I'd hate to have to do something destructive and end up having to replace the frame the fans and shroud are mounted to.

Also tried to take apart pieces on the radiator side to see if i could see back end of the bolts, but looks like I would need to actually remove radiator and other parts...
