Passenger Seat Switch Stopped Working, Now working

So this might not be super helpful to anyone but figured I'd share anyways. The passenger seat in my 2008 G35x stopped working the yesterday. Well actually it was just one function. It would recline but wouldn't come back up. Searched around and heard everything from hundreds of dollars for a new seat to $50 for a new switch to clean the contacts to just spray it with a bunch of WD-40. But most weren't talking about the setup I have which is the switch on the outside of the seat that looks like the picture. So having a little experience with electronics I figured, what the heck, lets just go take a look. So with no clue figured the switches must pop off since I could see no screws, which they did. Then started tugging at the trim on the seat. The front piece popped off first then I tugged at the front side (towards front of car) of the piece on the side and it popped off enough that I could see the switch on the back side. I didn't pull the whole piece off. Just the front half. Started looking at the switch thinking I could just short out the right wires to at least get the seat back up to a comfortable position like I saw another guy do on a youtube video (btw realized I didn't need to pop the switches off like I did.) Then before I went to come back inside I tried it again and It Worked!!! Yay for fixing stuff out of dumb luck!! haha. So maybe the contacts are dirty or maybe the plug was just loose. I don't know. But it worked enough that I could move it back up. Maybe a little jiggle is all your seat needs too.
I'll let ya know if the thing craps out for good on me or any updates on the situation. Just thought I'd share.

I wouldn't ever spray WD40 into a switch (short term fix but long term guaranteed failure due to attracting dust/dirt) but electrical contact cleaner does work well for getting the crap out of the contacts.

Your mom's boyfriend
I'd also unplug before spraying anything.
Most cold connections just need a unplug / replug
