Just bought a G35S and was looking to buy some coilovers for it as my fist priority. My budget isn't the highest at $650. I was really keen on getting some raceland coilovers as they offer lifetime warranty compared to other brands. I spoke to one their representatives and they said there coilovers wouldn't fit a S model as they different suspension components than the base and journey models.

Is there any other brand that for sure will fit a 08 G35S. I was looking at other options such as Tein Street Basis Z but I'm not sure if they will fit too.

Any help or recommendations for another brand would be appreciated.

 

I'm almost 100% sure that the rep you talked to meant it doesn't fit the X or XS package, it should be 100% interchangeable suspension with any of the RWD cars.

Maybe someone else with a V36 platform S package can chime in.

@treacherous is this what you have? Are you aware of any differences on the S package that would prevent someone from using these coilovers?

 

I made sure to let them know that I dont have the X model. This is what says in the description of the coilovers. Also told them it was a V36 to make sure they what year and model I was talking about.

 

The only thing I can think is they have some kind of interference with the Akebono brakes maybe?

I was able to confirm that these coilovers will most likely fit my G after speaking multiple team members from raceland. I'll purchase them and see how installation goes but now I have a coolant leak I must deal with before pulling the trigger on them lol
