Limp mode safe mode....

07 GX
147k
Here are my code
U1000
P0725
P1815
P1705
AT check light is on the dash and car is stuck in what appears to be 3rd or 4th gear.
Fluid changes were done on time and car wasn’t driven like a race car.
No CEL just an A/T check light.
I’m stuck in limp mode.
Any info would be much appropriate

Mine did this after a carwash. It dried out back to normal. Sounds like your ecm is going nuts like mine did.

Ok lets start with your DTC's.

U1000 CANBUS communication error, basically all the various computers in the car are networked together and the ECM is detecting that it can't read something, this can be caused by other codes though.

P0725, this code is sent from the TCM and is saying that it's not receiving the wheel speed sensor data from the ECM.

P1815, manumatic switch fail, this is fairly common, typically it's caused by the manumatic (when you move the shifter to the side to manually control gears) switches which are located in the shifter housing. Sometimes you can clean them out with electrical contact cleaner and they'll work again. This WILL NOT cause the car to limp mode, it just causes the MM mode to not function. Worry about this code last, likely just needs the switches cleaned, probably a DIY or youtube video out there somewhere, it's pretty basic.

P1705, throttle position sensor data not being sent to the TCM, this is partially related to the P0725 code probably.

I have a feeling that your APP accelerator pedal switch (on the gas pedal) failed which is causing throttle input data to be not sent to the ECM which is causing the TCM to get wrong or no data. Use a realtime scanner to watch data sent from the APP, should scale from 0.5 to 4.5 v as you go from no throttle to WOT. Probably two signals you can watch, one should be the inverse of the other since the APP is actually two switches.

Does the engine rev normally? If so it's not the APP.

Yes the car revs normal
engine sounds perfect.

Ok the issue is not the APP then, check the wiring harness at the TCM for any damage, unplug the harness and inspect the pins for any corrosion.

It's from the bottom, get the car on jackstands, it's on the side of the transmission.

do you know where the speed sensor is on the transmission?

Which one? Are you throwing a code? If so post it so I'm not just throwing darts at a wall guessing.

You have some kind of CANBUS issue, the ECM is not talking to the TCM. Start by inspecting the main harness on the transmission for damage.

Ignore those MM switch codes for now, just focus on why the ECM and TCM aren't communicating together, usually damaged wiring.

This has nothing to do with the speed sensors, that code is saying the ECM is not sending the data to the TCM AT ALL, same with the throttle position input that the TCM needs, it's not getting ANY of that data from the ECM.

That's why you also have the U1000 code, that's a generic code that you have one or more computer not communicating with each other.

So in a nut shell it’s either my ecm wire harness or tcm that’s the problem?

Yes basically. It will probably be worth paying Nissan a 1 hour diagnostic because Consult-III will find the issue very quickly.
