Any V36 parts no longer available? I'd have to think for the most part safe through 2025 as Q40 EOL'd in 2015.

I thought I remember a post here somewhere where radar cruise sensor on '07 or '08 was no longer available and insurance wanted to total vehicle on that alone.

I'll probably let mine go at 20 years (~Saturday, March 20, 2027) if still operational and wasn't bricked from some other parts unobtanium related failure.

I, once in a while think about selling mine, but we would not get much for them, even though mine, and I'm sure yours runs real good!! no dents, no rust, and it quite literally runs like new! I just got back from S. Michigan, ( the Gilmore museum, and Auburn IN, for the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Museum) then just a few days ago went up to northern MN. in Warroad to visit The Shed! ( the Marvin windows owner's collection of muscle cars) took the G and it ran soo damn good! It rained a lot on the Michigan trip, and then it snowed a lot on the MN, trip! It is such a good road trip car! I also took it to Road America a few times and Iowa's Indy car race in Newton this past July. Doesn't matter the weather, or the season!! I am currently at just over 90,000 miles.

it seems like this part would be available in the aftermarket. IMHO- insurance companies are quick to 'salvage' your car if older than 10 years or 100K+ miles.

I've read car manufacturers produce spare parts for warranty claims, but also insurance companies need spare parts in order to sell collision insurance; otherwise, no spare parts no sell! BTW- I've always cancelled my collision insurance after 10 years as car is approaching EOL. High probability insurance company will total it if involved in a fender bender.

I think this early LIDAR radar cruise option is pretty niche so no aftermarket options. I haven't priced Nissan/Infiniti sensors lately of this generation but know the price on Toyota/Lexus models for similar radar gear dropped to about 1/3 of the price once it became a common option. Unfortunately not backwards compatible. I could probably find one in a junk yard though.... I specifically went out of my way back when purchasing to check all the option checkboxes at the time.

Frankly this car still scoots for me... sure I know other faster cars out there but it still is a fun ride. Not a weep/seep of oil and nothing noticeable between oil changes. Only recent failure was that cheap fuel dampener o-ring and put a used nav unit in it that was less than $50.
