Base model g35x
X-drive swap

I’ve got an 08 g35x that I would like to be able to change the bias on it for the balance and I was told by a buddie to look into x drive systems from bmw as they can be electronically controlled and just wanted to see if anyone else has had experience with this or done it before

My understanding is the g35x is 100% rear wheel drive (conditions permitting) over 12mph, are you trying to force more torque to the front wheels, or do you want to start from stop with 100% rear wheel drive, or something else? I'm not sure how BMW allows customization to their awd system.

BMW you can control the X drive bias directly through OBD2, used it quite a bit on my brothers 335xi, you can make a custom bias.

Nissan/Infiniti does not allow for this on the V36 chassis it's pretty much just locked to either snow mode on/off and from there it's a preset system of bias based on throttle position and wheel speed. You can disable the power to the transfer case though either by pulling the relay or installing a switch on it, there used to be a writeup here somewhere about disabling the AWD system. That will make it RWD.
