I have Infiniti 2007 G35X and my current body suffered water damage to the interior. Can the engine be swapped into a Rear Wheel Drive 07-08 G35 or it must be AWD Body?

 

The upper oil pan is a little different since there's a big hole in it to allow for the driveshaft to go through but I think technically it would work on a RWD car.

Worst case you would just need to swap upper oil pans. I think technically you could just leave that section of the CV axle stub shaft inside the upper pan and install it lol. It's a little jank but it should work fine, just needs to be there to plug the holes in the oil pan. Maybe zip tie it into place so it can't accidentally fall out

Here's pics of the two pans, you can see one has the shaft going through it for the AWD and the other one does not.
