2007 G35 Sedan Fuel Gauge light

OMG never the dealership for something like this. Warranty repairs only at the dealer unless you want them to tell you 1500 to replace the combo meter because a light is out. If you're capable of soldering stuff you can probably open the combo meter and replacing it or it might only need to be touched up. These combo meters are known for having bad solder joints that cause all sorts of different problems like fuel gauges that don't indicate correctly and LED backlights failing etc. Not sure about the 2007 but there's a DIY for the V35 to take out the combo meter and open to repair some of the various stuff inside. If you search for "fuel gauge problem detailed" you'll find that thread and can see what that combo meter looks like inside and see if you think you could DIY it. If you have a V36, yours will probably be different but similar....

Sorry for the delay but I greatly appreciate the responses.
@gbarnett250 , I can attempt some DIY projects so will look into this. Been out of town the last couple of weekends but will plan on researching next weekend.
@scorpi0, LOL, I've tried that very thing! Yes, the gauge does work but the bulb that illuminates the gauge is out.
@909, I told my wife and son the same thing but I'm not 100% confident my son will keep it full!
Thanks again everyone!
