p1217 code, but gauge reads normal
I got the check engine light with a p1217 code, but the temp gauge read normal.
what does the ecu read to decide to trip this code?
I only see 1 temp sensor on the car, so it must feed both the gauge and ecu.
there was coolant in the overflow tank, but it was still hot, so will have to wait till morning to pop the top and verify.
2008 g35 journey.
I replaced all of the coolant hoses and heater hoses about 500 miles ago.
lost some coolant after the changes and got that sorted out and haven't lost any in several weeks. so I don't think it is related, but not sure yet.
but checking to see if there is some other cause I need to check as well.

It took me a while to bleed mine when I last changed coolant. I had vehicle on ramp and added these bleeders on both sides
