Power steering noise
Power steering noise
I got a 2008 g35x sedan I changed the power steering pump twice I checked all the hoses and I don’t see no leak I truly don’t know what’s wrong and I can still hear the noise any suggestions on how to get rid of the noise?
I believe what he meant to say was 'pump whining' noise due to trapped air in the system.
Jack the front up, top off the tank, let the engine warm up and turn all the way LEFT, hold for 3 seconds, then all the way RIGHT and hold for 3 seconds, repeat 5x, check fluid level and if you used Ford Dexron, there should be no whine or noise unless the replacement pump is crap or you have air entering the system by having loose connections.
I've just replaced my rack and pinion and all i did was refill the tank and do above steps and pump runs quietly.
