nissan data scanner 3, wakeup fail for ecm
nissan data scanner 3, wakeup fail for ecm
I am hoping someone else has used this software before.
I am trying to reprogram the keys, but I keep getting an error message trying to connect to the ecm wakeup fail.
you can see in the nds video that guy gets the same message and he messes with stuff that you can hear, but no explination of what he did to clear it.
I don't seem to be able to connect with it at all.
I can connect to the bcm just fine, but ecm always gives me the wakeup fail.
nds' site doesn't seem to cover this.

so I never got the ecu to wake up, but doing the test for can-bus resistance it seems like my bcm is down. I have one on order, and will attempt it again when I get it.
I can't find the video, but nds had it on their site for instructions. shows them trying to connect and it failed. at the 52 second mark you hear a noise and they do something and it connects. according to nds, they said they turned the key on.
to test the can bus, you put a multi meter in resistence mode and connect it to the high and low can pins on the odb2 port and it should read 60. unplugging the bcm or ecu should change it to 120.
when I did it, the bcm unplugged didn't change the resistence.

so I got the new bcm and installed it. didn't change the resistance plugged in or not.
can still talk to it, but can't talk to the ecu still.
have to start over on figuring out what is going on.
