Here is a charging diagram for 08 G35X and a photo of my alternator plug from 07 which should be the same. 2008 G35X charging circuit diagram 2007 G35 Journey alternator plug
Green to RED on the plug
Violet to GREEN on the plug
Pink to BLACK on the plug.
Make sure battery is unplugged or you'll blow many fuses since Violet is ALWAYS HOT.
✅ gotcha 👍 the diagram is kind of confusing though heres a pic of my old connector just to be sure ive done alot of stuff but never wiring every my bro at work who is also works on Gs tells me to do it because its easy i just dont want to risk blowing fuses
Your old plug is the same as mine so plug the new plug into the alternator and wire the wires according to the photo. When plugged in, the wire sequence should be GREEN, VIOLET, PINK from top to bottom.

I got that. So my new plug sequence should be red green black from top to bottom?
this **** is not starting anymore it literally started only once (very weak start) I made sure i connected the sequence correctly is that the correct sequence am i missing something? I had someone put them on and i watched him twist them good enough he only used electrical tape here im fed up
is this a universal plug? How do u know the factory wires work with this? Im extremely frustrated stayed up till 2am trying to fix ****

First of, you don't twist and tape wires that are HOT, constantly powered ON or coming out of the alternator. You use butt connectors and shrink tubing, otherwise, you'll burn down your electrical system, IPDM and ECM. Very weak start sounds like a weak and/or bad battery; Was the battery fully recharged? Was is checked to be 'good'? Have you checked all grounds to make sure they're all connected and clean? Are the battery terminals good and clean? Are all fuses, fuse links good and not burned? Are there any fault codes in the ECm or BCM?
You said the engine started and then what?

it started and it ran good but i shut it off quickly cause i was getting the air our of the power steering but after that it wont start just turns and cuts off im assuming its the poor quality splicing hopefully i didnt burn out any fuses

I finally had time again to come and deal with this so i decided to actually check the connection that my guy did and now that my first time looking at his work these connections seem shitty right? Uneven wire strip length just poorly twisted and not crimpled at all do you think this was the fault i didnt even undue the last one before taking the pic cause i just know its shitty as well what steps from here can i take to make it a tighter connection without undoing
Not the best work for longevity but i did the same splicing 25 years ago and it worked. Proper way is to solder the wires and shrink tube them. Have you check your fuses if they're not fried?
A faulty or non-functioning alternator wouldn't cause a 'no start' with a good battery, the engine will start and you should see the battery icon on the gauge cluster. In fact, it should be there before you start the engine with ignition ON.
