Hi guys I'm a new owner to an older car but it's great .l love it! I jacked the rear up to inspect tires and noticed rear diff & drive axles. I thought this car is FWD. Is it AWD because it feels like FWD. ls there a way to switch it on or off? l just got the car a month ago. l know plenty about cars just not much about this car. lt was an Alabama car that l suspect PO had high flow installed. because the O sensor code stays on yet I was able get tags in CA the PO had provided valid SMOG cert. This car is LOUD. lm just looking for known info. thank in advance

So, you got yourself what seems like a Sport 6MT. ALL 2nd gen G-35's are either RWD or AWD, I have a G-35X, so my car is an automatic (5-speed) with front diff, and clutch pack center power divider. These cars have never been Front Wheel Drive only. Also, you can NOT have a 6spd manual with AWD. Which tranny do you have? Infiniti made a lot of G-35 x's, then G-37's and G 37x's. If your car is a manual, then you have a RWD sport, which might have 4-wheel steer also!
