Internet Explorer update, this site doesn't show perfect anymore.

After installing the new Internet Explorer update this site doesn't show perfect anymore.
Mainly the drop down options above(Forums, gallery, members, ...) don't show the options in the drop down box, its just shows a "-" or says "edit".

Anyone else experienced this?

Yep, I noticed it too. I thought it was just me, but alas, I'm not the only one.

Do NOT under ANY circumstances download IE7. It is NOT required and it is screwed up. My company will not allow anyone to use it.

I updated to it last week and a couple of the drop downs are missing part of their menu, but generally I like it better.

I just got a reminder that I could update my IE6 to IE7 from their regular update notifications.

I am missing a couple of the drop down menus as well. Well, if I click on them, they're still where they should be...but the descriptions are missing.
For example, I click on "Forums", and the top two menu items are " - " and " - " I remember that the 2nd - used to say "Search", thankfully. Otherwise I'd be lost.

And the new text rendering of IE7 fvcking blows. Text has lost it's sharpness, and I'm quite annoyed!

Text on IE7 on my other machine looks fine. What kind of monitor are you using?

go into internet options and turn off clear type - this will make it render text like the old IE

Thanks, I think it helped some. I'm also still getting used to a new LCD monitor which I think compounded the problem a bit...CRTs are so much crisper when it comes to displaying text, and that's what I was used to prior to this 17" LCD. But your suggestion did help.

Thanks

try to find out what the native resolution of your LCD is... and set your resolution to that - LCD's only look crisp at their native resolution... if its like mine at work its 1280x1024
