Question Ban on Projector Headlight sales

I was unaware of this new rule until today and was wondering if this was already discussed among members?

Recalled projector headlights are illegal as per Infiniti Corporate. As a result, we are not allowing any projector headlights to be sold via our forums. The vast majority of the projector headlights being sold on the forums were illegally obtained.

We understand that some of you bought your headlights legitimately before the recall and may still want to sell them, but we cannot allow this. We have no way to confirm if your headlights are recalled or not. In the efforts of being consistent, all staff members have been instructed to delete threads/posts regarding the sale of projector headlights. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm curious as to how the rule effects sponsors, e.g. :https://g35driver.com/forums/questionable-posts/135071-sale-2006-projector-headlamps-g35-coupe.html
....As a result, we are not allowing any projector headlights to be sold via our forums.

Riverside Infiniti isn't selling recalled headlights, and this can be confirmed. Unfortunately with regular members there is no way to verify if the headlights they are selling are recalled units or not.

I understand your point and I would never suggest that they would do such a thing. My point of the example was strictly to show that "any" really doesn't mean all.

Very funny . Obviously this was already discussed in your Admin and Mod forum. Why don't you give the members a chance to voice their opinions about the subject matter.

Why should they have input into something that has no legal repurcussions for them, but significant ones for the owner's of the site? Shouldn't they get to decide if they want to leave themselves exposed in such a position for actions brought on by its members?

BTW, the subject of legality of the recalled projectors has already been discussed here when it was first announced. Being an "unofficial admin" you should have known that right? Or at least searched for it before making such a statement?

I'll break it down, 99% of projectors not sold by dealerships are STOLEN. We don't condone the sale of STOLEN goods. The end

Lawsuits from Infiniti are the least of this sites worries.

Nice edit. This is the member feedback area. I did search and came up with nothing after a few pages of threads. Were you born unhappy or was it something you grew into and spread around?
