Slow!

Is this site once again unbelievably slow loading pages? It's taking almost a minute for pages to come up and I don't think it's my computer because everywhere else I go on the web is totally fine speed wise. If it is my computer, what could it be? Again, every site I go to works totally fine but all day today and I think yesterday this site is crawling. Any ideas?

Hm... It's really not that bad... Except that it stops loading pages for about a minute SOMETIMES, but not often.

Otherwise, it's been ok..., but I do agree with you that it's been slowing down quite a bit for past few months... hm...

There are some issues with the servers BUT they are being worked on and if you notice, the problem has gotten a little better lately. It is known and is being worked on.

This community is just too big (11,200 registered users ). That is the problem. When you have over 1,000 people connected, it will slow down. The site has been acquired by a larger company, so these slow downs will more than likely go away shortly. Give it time.

Actually, we've got a little over 60,000 registered members now.

Hmm, that contradicts what the site itself says. I was going off of the G35driver - Members list https://g35driver.com/forums/memberlist.php

Showing results 1 to 30 of 11221
Looks like 21 people have signed up since my last post

Go Driver!
The members list is not often updated for some reason, my sn didn't show up on the list until about a month ago. If you look on the home page you will see:

This ranks 'Driver at 600 on the Big Boards Top Forums List (steadily improving since I first found this list)

You can see the whole list here.

For the Ranking list, is that posts per day? Month? Year?

Thanks for schooling me on the member info.

The two numbers are total posts and total members.

Ranking based on total posts is kinda stupid. It should be based off of daily, weekly, or monthly. Just my .02

Edit:
Oh, just found that option.
Based on weekly posts, Driver is at 259th place

It's ranking the sites on being the biggest, not the just the most active.

Sounds like a US thing to do We always think that bigger is better
Anyway, I found that based on weekly posts, Driver is ranked 259. Much better then 600
