Mine has been up forever, then one day i just deleted every message in my inbox and sent box, and vuala, all gone.

You're not the first. It's a system bug. Mine went away after a couple weeks.

LOL, true enough. Like mentioned previously, it's a bug that has happened to a number of members. It might take a little time, but it will correct itself. Have patience folks.
