Question to Staff/Mods (07+ Sedan Classifieds Section?)

Is it possible to get our own classifieds section? There are so many 1st Gen G35 parts to scour through just to find 1 item for sale for our 2nd gen G. Could a sub-forum be made or something to make it easier for the 2nd gen members? Thanks

This suggestion has been discussed in the staff forum and ultimately we have decided not to add any new classified sections related to the G35 and G37.

We have a sticky that sets out the guidelines for posting in the private classifieds, if it's followed it shouldn't be difficult to determine which items will fit an 07/08 Sedan and which will not.

And to add to Christian's post, I would recommend anyone posting a classified for a 2nd Gen Sedan to state so in the thread title. Just as an example;

"FS: 2nd Gen Sedan Fujita Intake"

I know that it's not quite the same as having a dedicated classified section, however it will still make 2nd gen Sedan classified ads much more easier to identify.

If the search function was worth a shat, finding 2nd gen parts would be easy...

Well, I've seen threads where people put 2nd gen sedan, and it'll be the 1st gen sedan but the remodeled 1st gen sedan...and the search button does BLOW big time...i type in sedan, and everything still pops up

shane, christian...both of you guys own 2nd gen sedans, wouldn't it also be beneficial to you guys as well?

Being a part of the administration and moderation team on some other forums, i realize how much work actually goes into maintaining a site like this and why you may not have the time or feel the need to expand more. I imagine the ratio of members here heavily weighs on the side of the coupe owners.

After much discussion among the staff the request is being re-thunk ppl.

sredish - Thanks for the input but we have never taken that path here. We have no problem hoisting up another forum were needed/wanted. Heck what's another forum added to the amount we already have. lol
We rather not put one up where it gets some initial play and then dies out. Some sub forums got started from a stickied thread and has since delveloped and flourished. Most recent example was the home cooking forum suggested by Canuck. It now has two sub forums under it. One never knows lol.
The staff here is great (imo lol ) and has no problem with having the right forums added. Tnx for your post.

A section in the Marketplace has now been created.

We care about the members? Where did you hear that BS???

LOL, just kidding of course. Suggestions made in this section by the members are always considered by the Staff. If the suggestions make sense and it's best for the community as a whole, we'll always do the right thing and implement them. IMO, a forum that doesn't listen to it's member's legitimate needs/wants isn't serving it's community to the fullest.

Keep in mind though, not every single idea posted in this section will be implemented by the Staff here on Driver.
