What's the solution to this?

Problem. Ie. log in, search new threads and I lose my log in status. Or try to post a thread, push the button and I need to keep logging in.

have u changed the security settings in your browser recently? It sounds like the cookies may not be getting stored.

Nope. Same problem I had over at the Z forum. Oddly enough, the Z forum is now okay.

Have not changed anything. Nor have any other forums I use are affected in this way. It's very similar if not exactly what happened on the Z forum.

Work = okay.

Home = still odd.

I haven't seen a mod/admin post in this section since I posted this thread.

Who is your isp? If you have an isp constantly changes your IP you will be logged out every time you post. AOL is the worst for this.

comcast. It doesn't happen to any other forums I'm logged into. I think this site must have done some changes recently. Plus my machine at home is really old.

It's a cookie problem on you end then, if the cookie settings were wrong in the ACP it would affect everyone.

I've cleared them once and logged in and it's the same.

But I do agree it's a cookie problem. Something about how my computer stores them vs how the site handles it.

There was a long drawn out process on the Z forum on how to handle it.

I wonder if you're one of the people that shows up as having hundreds of login IPs...too bad I can't check that anymore.

Jeff, download firefox and use it for a browser. Works much better than IE. See if the problem goes away.

Jeff what version of Windows and IE are you running?

I've also had an annoying issue come up since the upgrade, but sine I'm on a Mac and in the minority I never heard a solution so I've learned to live with it.
