We seem to have had a run of Spam lately and I was wondering if there is a way to make the posts of new members "moderated" for the first five or so to see if they are true members or not. I would be happy to help out if I can.

 

 

You must be one of the spammers. That's the only reason I can think of, that you would not want this done.

 

No you either have to moderate all posts or none. There really aren't a lot of spammers, relatively speaking to warrant restricting New Threads until a specific post count or Moderating new users. Just report the post, there's a lot of Staff around here, should be gone within minutes.

 

There is no problem moderating the first few posts on lots of other forums I belong to. I know we have over 65K members, but I'll bet there are less than 10 people a day that join. That is not an insurmountable group to monitor for 3-5 posts and then let them go.
