Showstoppers USA

This is a repost, because I originally posted it in the Picture share forum on accident. I deleted the original and reposted this here. I apologize to the Mods for any convenience.

I was wondering what happened to Jim@Showstoppers. One day he was banned, the next day he wasn't. Then the day after, he was banned again. After some snooping on my350z, i found this:

http://my350z.com/forum/my350z-com-f...wstoppers.html

Is that the same reason he is banned here on driver as well?

I'm just curious because I just ordered the MG2 trunk from them. I have PM'd and posted in his thread, but still no response.

Thanks in advance.

The guys at Showstoppers have ALWAYS taken care of me in the 8-9 years I've known them, even prior to them being open as a shop. They've supplied me parts on all my cars. all this recent stuff of shipping errors and bad customer service seems pretty shocking to read.

I wish I can defend them more, but what use is it if the soured people turn a deaf ear?

Yeah, they've been keeping pretty good communication with me via telephone. It's a shame i've only been able to deal with them once.

So I guess the word is that he is banned from all sites now. Its a shame, he seemed like a pretty good guy to me. If I had any problems, he contacted me back right away and helped me out. Plus he put together some pretty good pricing for carbon products.

Yeah I just got back from their shop. It seems like a very nice shop with a lot of trophies and stuff. Kinda hard to find. But again, sad to see this happen to a good guy (from my experience).

Yeah I know. Personally, I try to keep all purchases/sales local to avoid any problems like that.

i picked up some springs from them like 3 weeks ago. but not through jim though. my friend is really close to them and they hooked it up very well. other than that. i will continue to go to them for local suspensions or whatever i need. in my book they are a great shop. after reading all the feedback. i still dont care, cuz i will still be doing business with them.

wait til my car is back from the shop ryan BIG SURPRISES AWAIT!

from the looks of it, the dissatisfied customers are not local to them. the satisfied guys tend to be local. sounds like a shipping/communication is the common issue.

Yeah, check out that thread on my350. Some guy posted up some beat up box, and claimed it came out of their shop like that. But I took pics of their shop today, and everything seemed fine.

Kurt, what shop(s) do you get your stuff done at?
