How about a stripped-down theme? It's no mobile-version, but that should load much faster for those of us on-the-go and without 3G.

But even with 3G the speed at which one can browse driver is merely mediocre. A lightweight style/theme would be a night a day difference for a mobile phone.

For an example of this laid out on another site check out crackberry.com. Go to their forums and alllll the way at the bottom of the screen towards the left you will see a drop down menu for different page styles.

Here's one i really like. I just have a feeling IB won't go for it though, it's too stripped (i.e., no ads).

+1 for m.g35driver.com

To be honest, I have no desire of visiting this site on my bold knowing that it takes that extra 15-30 seconds to load a simple thread or sub-forum.

i'd hope IB makes a generic one in the future that hooks into vB somehow and lets you use it on any site running it, but that's just wishful thinking.

not bad....name of the vB plugin? I tried evaluating a few different ones on the market, but I don't own a vB license to do it myself.

If you guys find something really good, I'll try taking it to the folks at IB again. There would definitely need to be a light version, and the ability to easily go to the full version for those who desire to do so.

^I'll do some research on my free time (when I'm not looking up car parts) and try to find something that could possibly work for g35driver.

When you bookmark Driver on your iphone, it has a small icon that is basically an image of the web page. Can someone make a icon for driver, for the bookmark icons, for I phone?

BerryBlab plug-in for BB users

I just heard about a new app/plug-in for Blackberry users called BerryBlab. It allows us BB users to navigate forums powered by vBulletin (such as this one) much easier and faster.

Admins, can you please install this pug-in? I've been waiting for an easier way to navigate this forum from my BB! You can get the plug-in for free at http://www.berryblab.com/Owners.aspx. Once the plug-in is installed, BB users will be able to download the app and navigate the forum.

For more info: http://crackberry.com/introducing-be...ered-vbulletin

The only downsides I see for BB users is that we have the buy the app and although load times are much faster, it doesn't look like images will load.

Thanks!

Sorry if there is a post on this already. I didn't seem to find any

I have found a possible solution. There is a new app for blackberry called Berryblab which is basically a vBulletin app. However it requires the forum administrator to install the berryblab plugin for it to work...will the staff please look into this? I'm currently testing it out on other sites and so far seems very nice!

I like this idea I'm sure newer versions will support images and have many more features too. Any chance of this happening?
