Site causing IE runtime errors

What's going on with this site that it causes IE runtime errors on a fairly regular basis? I've now noticed this 5 times over the past 3 days on three seperate machines (completely different ISPs) including my very secure office machine. Basically what happens is I open a thread and then my hard-drive goes into overdrive for about 2 to 3 minutes and I can't do anything on the computer because the computer is so overwhelmed. Finally, the computer kicks backs a runtime error and shuts down IE. Anyone else experiencing this problem? The issue seems inconsistent, but there is an issue. Is it some sort of ad/sponser page causing this conflict?

yeah i got a run-time error earlier this morning after clicking on a thread. Went back into IE, tried the same thread and it was fine. No issues since.

I use FF and have noticed the site being very slow the last few days. I've also been getting a lot of DB errors where I can't load the page.

I'm getting a runtime error, but when I close that message everything's fine. IE doesn't shut down. I also have seen the site being sluggish off and on for a while, but only in short spurts.

Can you quit your whinin?

Now that I'm using Firefox I haven't seen the error message. When I was using IE 7 yesterday though, I tried to open 4-5 tabs of different threads all at the same time and I noticed my system resources got to about 90% and then the error message popped up. I'm just going to use Firefox/Chrome going forward. It'd be nice if IE was usable again since that's what I use in the office.
