I'm not aware of any upgrades, but if this is impacting all IE users then I'll pass it along to the folks @ IB and see if they know what is going on.

But I wonder why it only started recently (and only on this site)… for me it started only a day or two before I started this thread – and doesn’t happen on any other website…
I'll bet a nickel I can give you a link or two to other sites and you'll have the same problem. I googled it. It's not unique to this board. Today, I don't have to log in and the problem manifests itself. It's an IE bug. Been around since '02 (at least) in different forms.

I can even click the forward button after clicking the backspace button once and I'll stay on the same page. When I click the arrow next to the Forward button, the URL is a randomly generated name (or as if it had been randomly generated). The URL is not g35driver.com..etc.,etc.

I've read different causes for it.

vBulletin is the most widely used software for forums that I know of, so it is very likely that the issue could be with both the code in vB and IE.

There is probably a workaround or something that can be done on the vB side to correct it. Either way, it wasn't an issue before and now it is so it needs to get resolved.

IB is looking into the issue and hopefully we'll have a resolution soon.

it doesnt happen (for me) on my350z... Or any non-forum site I visit... this is the only website it happens on and its only been recent - as you can see I've been on this site a long time, this is a new issue (for me).

I'm having this problem on my Chrome as well, while logged in.

Everything is fine in IE7 and FF3.

we're on a newer version of vB than my350, so it could be some glitch in 3.7.4 that wasn't in 3.7.3

hopefully we'll hear from IB soon

its happening again...

Seems like every time I notice issues - I either get "you're complaining again" or ignored... then after several days or weeks of other ppl mentioning it, the issue gets attention.

I have an idea... how about using this notification as a "proactive" instead of waiting to "react"... just a thought.

BTW - I'm referring to issues (such as this) that no one seems to mention until it becomes a common problem...

I've notified IB. Any additional info you can provide - specific times, what thread you were in, etc. would be useful as well to help the techs look into the logs...that is, unless this is constant, which would also be good to know.

it's constant - all sections & threads... started last night (continues this morning)... only happens on this site (not on my350Z like last time - and not on any other sites)

I don't think I realized this initially - but it's only happening when I'm not logged in...

I just went deep into several threads, then backed out and every time when not logged in, had to click back button 2 (sometimes 3) times... I did the same thing while logged in and it doesn't happen...

hmm.....that sounds a lot like how it was last time too, so hopefully they'll be able to figure it out soon (although, one would hope the same problem wouldn't happen twice).

Anyway, I let them know, but it will be Monday before any of IB's IT staff takes a look.
