Marketplace (username paper dealio)

Just a thought

Members with a tonne of positive feedback (and zero negative) be able to post their parts without the photo of username and what not.

Me for instance, I don't store any of my parts at home and the rare occasion I make it out to the shop I don't always remember to get photos of my parts with the paper. I know it only takes a second but when it's out of your way it makes it a drag to do.

So are we able to make active members with high itrader exempt from that rule? Maybe high ticket items like $1000+ need apply to paper rule but cheaper items, not so much?

Good idea? Bad idea?

I am not sure that we could bypass this requirement, there reason it is there is to prevent scams. I understand why you are purposing this, but the staff does not have the time to verify every thread to see if you meet the itrader requirement. I have found myself to do the same thing, take pictures only to realize I need to retake them.

Well the majority of us that scan the marketplace like a hawk are usually the first to say "you need a picture with yatayatya"

So why not just flag the posts for you guys? You'll be deleting less posts this way anyways.

I think we, as high itrader sellers/buyers should set an example by following the rules. A piece of paper with ur name on it is nothing to be able to sell on a forum with no fees.

I still say putting name on paper is the best way. It just makes it safer whether its just a $20 item or $10,000 item. It is a hassle sometimes I admit. But thats just me.

Most of us do pay fees actually lol (mine just ran out)

Like anyone with 15+ iTrader whose still on the forum often is going to be trustworthy.

Plus, me posting photos of say a hood...on my car. It's kind of a unique G... (colour and mod wise)

You don't have to though, after you hit 45 days & 100 posts you're good to go.

JMO, but if you had some with sign & some w/o it would go downhill.
More noobs would start ignoring the rule. (if they bothered to even read it)

it really isn't hard to write your name and date on a piece of paper then take a picture.

agreed, the safety name on paper defeats most of the scammers

there needs to be a report button so those of us that 'hawk' the classifieds can just click it for a mod to look at, not having a mod scan every ad that is posted.

but i could see the reporting button getting abused, so maybe not.

just trying to add my .02, i buy and sell a lot of shizzle

I dont even bother posting for sale in the marketplace (once I did) - not worth the hassle of taking pic, name on paper... I have a bunch of parts - I just let people know what I have if I see someone need it in the regular forums.

I figure my i-trader is enough vouch that anyone interested knows I wont ***** them over.

When I sell my wheels I guess I'll hafta use the marketplace (maybe not though, they might be easy enough to sell not to do the hoop jumping).
