I use Adblock Plus and I am subscribed to Easy list, fanboys and Malware lists.

If you forgot to choose a subscription just simply go to http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions

In the subscription box just click on the name next to it, And you should get a menu to come up and ask you to add the subscription.

Malware list is at the bottom.

You can also click on the arrow on the ABP icon, Click on Preferences, at the top click Filters and then click on "Add Filter Subscriptions"

I get no popups, or ads on pages any more. done deal.

Okay gentlemen thanks for being so patient with me.
It is now finally working for me.
I was subscribed to Fanboy's List but not to any others. It did not work. Then besides Fanboys List, I added Easylist, and magic, these pop-ups are now blocked

I see an awful lot of ads coming up too- nevermind the in-text ones on things like "car" and so on- but also at the bottom of just about every thread- if not every thread.

I just renewed my premier- on the thought that at least it will keep popups and ads down- I'm pretty sure people are going to keep being annoyed by this- especially people who aren't in the buy and sell...

Ian, I think you will have to download the Ad-blocker and the filters like I did in this thread.
I don't have the pop-ups now, but I agree we should not have to put up with them if we pay for Premier.

Don't they bother the rest of you guys and gals
Hi Wayne,

InternetBrands does not accept pop up advertising from anyone, on any of our sites.

If you're experiencing pop-ups consistently on your machine, I'd suggest it might be time to do a malware clean-up.

If you do see a pop-up, please copy the click through URL and send it to me. I will confirm with our ad team, and block it if it's coming from one of our partners.

The Vibrant ads are not a pop-up, they are a roll-over ad. I don't really like them either. I will see what we can do.

thanks for the feedback.

cheers,
robb

Robb, I had to disable my Ad-Blocker to see them again. It is the Vibrant ads that come up, when my cursor drags across a certain trigger word, it pops up and I can't read the thread until it goes away. That is what I was talking about.
With the Ad-Blocker they are gone.
Have a good Christmas up in your area Robb.
