saves tons of time scrolling to the bottom to discover its sold
once you have sold your stuff you edit the title of your post to say sold.
this is how other boards do it

I usually put "Sold" in the original post and lock my threads, but it would be nice if you could also put it in the title.

This would make searching the classifieds a much better experience.

Hey ge35es, just a little update for you on this. It's not possible to allow users to close their own threads in only one place, it would need to be global. It also ties into the amount of time people are allowed to edit their posts for. I am not aware of a feature available for vB that does what you'd like I'm afraid. With that said, the FS section does give the OP the option to edit their thread allowing them to add a sold update to the original post and lock the thread. This would eliminate the frustration

i was going to write this:

"why don't sellers have the ability to close their for sale threads..? or any thread for that matter..? i remember there used to be a " GO ADVANCED " button.."

and then i read previous posts..

my350z.com still has the ability..?? aren't they monitored and owned by the same marketing co..>??

thankx..

i always update with a "SOLD" on my sold threads..

It's kinda redundant when you have the "lock thread after post" feature. (But then again, that wasn't even working the last time I tried it).

Lock thread in private classifieds = sold.

^Can the threads still be locked? I had to delete one of my FS threads a little while ago because it wouldn't let me lock it.

^I cannot lock any of my threads in the classifieds. Locking them would let everyone know the item is sold while keeping the thread around to let noobs like me search for previous sales (to know how much to sell stuff for).
