Some suggestion for the forum regarding newbies and the like..

1. Just like you have to have a certain amount of posts and a certain amount of time on the forum in order to post in the marketplace.. I think the same rules should apply for any new forum member about posting ANY THREAD in the forum..

There has been many newbies lately, which is good i guess cuz our forum is growing, but they either POST the same EXACT threads or senseless ones..

Just a suggestion..

2. Although my350z is not always as fair as our site, just my opinion, I do think that their MARKETPLACE rules are far superior than ours.. Over threre a mod has to approve your FS thread to make sure you are complying with the criteria for posting..

Too many times there are people selling stuff without proper criteria. A lot of times the OP will ask the mods to let the thread stay and they will post the criteria ,such as proper pix , later that night but they never do it.. By that time the seller might have hooked a buyer only to possibly scam them, especially if the MOD closes the thread..

Just a suggestion..

I actually agree with the OP on this one.
n00bs don't search, and the problem has quite frankly gotten out of control.
Until they reach something like 25 posts, they shouldn't be allowed to start a new thread.

Although I kind of agree with what your saying, the problem is people will just post useless crap to reach the limit. The same thing that happens so noobs can post in the marketplace quicker.

So, I took a stroll through the 03-06 Sedan section, something I haven't done in a while.

Now mind you, there was a time that I'd go through this section every single day to see which threads had been added since the last day (usually about a page of threads) and read/subscribe to any that interested me, but I stopped doing that for two reasons:
1. It was taking up too much of my time
2. There were more and more threads getting started that were something stupid that had been covered 100 times already.
So I gave up on it, and now I only poke my head in there every once in a while.

Well, just for curiosity sake, I looked through the first page (25 threads) and easily, about HALF of them were either in the wrong place, or completely unnecessary (already covered by another thread)

You guys don't know how tempted I was to go postal and delete all the stupid threads, and move/merge the rest... but it wouldn't do anything but generate a crapload of work for me when all the idiots started PMing me about "hey jerk, why did you move my thread?" and then new idiots would just come along and crap all over the place again.

(sigh)

rant over.

Like a said. Newbies shouldn't be able to " POST A THREAD" until they reach 100 posts or more. Same rules as the marketplace should apply..

The cheaper our cars get the more retarded the newbies are. Jus sayin.!

Threads like:

"I'm new, I be stuntin my G so hard necks be breakin"

Or

"I want inexpensive cheap parts to make my car fast"

Or

" These cars use too much gas..!! My lunch money can barely get me to the mall"...
^^ **** like that.!!!

Just thinking out loud for the both of us..

This has definitely been an ongoing issue for awhile now..

This site use to be soooo different..

There was always been a straggler or two and even I am guilty throughout the years but the search button works better and posting threads just cuz ur lazy blows my mind sometimes..
