Slooooooooow

The site has been crawling since last night. Probably at the slowest I've seen right now.

EDIT: It actually took about 30 seconds for the above sentences to post.

Yes, IB is aware of the issues & is working to resolve them. I'd imagine it's a combination of the older recurring site hiccups as well as from the implementation of the Picture Battles framework.

Just gotta bite down and grunt through it for naow.

Huh wut

That's the problem, we have be "bearing" it for over two years now. I have the same problem on three different computers on three separate ISP's. Since IB took over, this place as just sucked as far as speed goes. The put a little box on the bottom to say they have changed their "terms of service", the "terms" may have changed, but the "service" still sucks.

Agreed.

Took me 10% of my battery life on my phone with full bars to delete a(nother) double post from the site glitching. And the post never got deleted!! Seems to be worse in the morning or any time there are more than 10 people in here.

Okay... this is fricken ridiculous. Every thread I have double posted (because of some idiotic site glitch) is impossible to delete. It just sits there and hangs on 3 different machines and a variety of internet connections.

Stupid... but nonetheless one more reason I'm glad I didn't renew my premier membership.

I am a member of several forums, and only the ones that are owned by IB have this problem, it's not just this one.

They probably have everything hosted on one server or at one hosting location. If bandwidth is the issue, it would affect all the sites if hosted at the same location. If they are all split on a single dedicated server, it could be that the server is not powerful enough to handle everything so the processor is tied up all the time.

We had a similar speed issue with another VBulletin site and the Mod team decided (along with the owners) that it would be best to spend a little money on a faster dedicated server for the one site that was responsible for a large chunk of the load. That fixed our issues.

BTW: It's running fast this morning for me.

QFT!

I rarely come to this site anymore - but when I do, it's always the same.

Yeah, it's absurd really. I never used to browse other Z/G forums, because this & my 350Z were great. Since IB took over, I may visit 5% as much as I used to.

Additionally, the mobile site sucks and doesn't work at all on an iPad. Everyone that brings it up is either ignored or given the BS excuse like in this thread. Honestly, the lack of staff response in half the threads in this sub-forum kind gives the impression that nobody gives a crap either.

At least 6MT.net has a great mobile app. They don't have the wealth of knowledge like here, but at least it works for the users.

Tapatalk integration is a must...after the speed and reliability issues are resolved.
