whats up with the popups
I thought about this some more. If people are members; they shouldn't be subjected to unwanted ads where as people who didn't fork up cash to join should be subjected to anything the admin feels justified.

I didn’t start this thread to start bitching, I just wanted to know what it was about, and find out if others were experiencing it too.
I do appreciate this site and all of the information I access for free. If the people that run this site need to make some money because of all the time they put into it, so be it.
I am just concerned. I would like a mod or an admin to assure me that if I continue to use this forum my computer won’t become infested with adware and spyware.

pop-ups could also be caused by spyware/adware that is on your pc before you come to the forum. make sure if you are using windows you have installed service pack 2, and have the pop-up blocker turned on. google also has a decent one that comes with the toolbar. mozilla works pretty well by default. ad-aware is a decent spyware tool, but not nearly as strong as something you would pay for. ive sold network security tools for a few years, good luck
