G37 Coupe V36 2008+ Discussion about the G37 Coupe

Why is Infiniti sooooo vague about when this car is to be released?

Just came from Gwinnett Place Infiniti, they had a show model of the 07 G sedan nicely loaded. Although the price sheet on in it says "Sample Car", one of the dealers says when it comes out it'll be 38-39K..

IMO the coupe is gonna be at least low 40's.

The new Z won't be changing pricing points, and ahhhhhhh I'm really thinking about it
Okay so no real source as we were to infer from your earlier post.

Hey you never know where my info came from...I just used common sense to put together "no vehicle under $40K on the lot" and "'07 G35 on the lot with no price tag"......

So no I really don't bet...but I just have that darn good (or bad) feeling that it's going to happen. I hope they proove me wrong

Yes.... soon
Then the next question will be;
Will the '08 coupe maintain the same pricing relationship (gap) to the sedan?

I would suspect they will.
Right now leasing rates are very comparable to the BMW 335 due to residuals.
I think it would really hurt the coupe if they moved it much from current positioning.

I think you're right unless there is some major differentiation from the sedan; relative to the similiarity of the current coupe/sedan models. To me that's not likely to change.

I wonder if BMW caught them off guard at all?

It's understandable that the sedan is positioned the way it is, with the IS350 as the performance target.
But now that the 335 is out (sedan & coupe) and with the G35 coupe at least 8 months away....
You have to wonder whats going on behind closed doors at Infiniti right now.
Should be interesting.
