I have been eagerly waiting the new coupe and holding out and holding out.

The I read this:

3,682 pounds.

WTF? In a coupe!!?? Is this a Lexus or something?

I guess the only thing going for that gaudy weight is the possibility of competing with SUVs in collisions..

Now perhaps I no longer have to wait, as I will soon be shopping for a different car. I will try to wait out for more reviews and then a test drive, but 3500 lbs is my limit, and I really would like something closer to 3000 lbs.. I like to feel the road when I drive.

Maybe the next Z won't be so bloated.

The concept car had lines which were closer to an aston martin but this looks like the offspring of a toyota and nissan.

This is kind of like those internet relationship, first they send you a hot picture of herself (G35 concept), then when you meet her in real life; its like you got sacked in the dongers (G37 coupe)

...

Then again I will still have to wait until i see one in person.

Are these pics official and therefore will not change? These are the actual production pics of the car that will hit the market?

To be honest, I agree with a lot of people, that is, don't judge it till u see it in person. I think it will look even better in person. I really like the headlights (M series and now G sedan series). Not sure about the *** end and from a side angle I find that the lines are too smooth. I find that the current gen coupes as it got more of a bulkier front and rear stance.

It will grow on us..

Edit: I think i changed my mind after looking around more...It looks really nice

regarding the 3682 pounds:

Not according to the Edmunds article. I am hoping they are wrong. That is just way to heavy for any vehicle to have the word "sport" associated with it.

hmm.... not a fan right now.. may have to grow on me. And what's up with the rims?? I like my pop-up hideaway nav too... I do like the 14" brakes tho. I wonder if it'll sound the same or better (hard to do). If it doesn't, then a total disappointment.

For all of those bitching about weight, you need to go look at modern cars with similar dimensions and report back. It's not like the Infiniti being heavy is an anomaly. And as stated earlier, that was WITH DRIVER INCLUDED. Subtract around ~150lbs. and you have the sedan weight.

LOL That makes a big differance since when curb weights are listed, it is never with a driver. So 3500 lbs is not bad at all. What does disappoint me is the lack of torque. HP is great for the track, but on the street it's all about torque, unless you intend to drive at 6K+ RPM all day long.

First company to make a kit to convert the new G37 coupe to look more like the concept will make billions!!!! All you need is a new front and rear bumper.
