Repost!

Just joking.

Like I've said before, this thing begs to be taken to the track. But with its soft looks, im not sure if its going to be taken serious.

Trust me, after seeing this video and reading the edmunds review, it would be hard for anyone NOT to take the G37 seriously.

I've got mixed feeling about it. Now I'm still in favor of the car so please don't read more into my observations:

Likes:330HP engine; the handling (from what I've seen from the video); the front end styling.

Dislikes:Overall styling looks VERY toned down from the Coupe Concept styling; the profile looks hauntingly similar to the Altima Coupe profile (I can hear the Nissan/Infiniti haters harping on that ) all that time, energy and $$$$ to update the engine and bring it to world-class BMW-beating levels....YET INFINITI STILL USES THE SAME 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION??????

Would I get it? Not sure yet. I'll have to see it in person.

The car looks much better when seeing it in motion. Definately will consider trading in my 06 after I see it person.

Thanks for the vid!

However, and I could be looking too much into this, but halfway through, when the G is coming towards the camera then into a left-had turn, it looks like it understeers almost off the track, then cuts to a bit of a power-on oversteer, and a bit of a tank-slapper out of that.

Hopefully I am looking too much into this from my dissapointment about the looks, but it doesn't seem to be very smooth (could be the driver). It seems to understeer without braking the rear tires loose and it looks unsettled coming out of the turns. I am probably looking too hard though.

Of course, that could have been the point of the vid (show it tail out).

But without a doubt, it does look fast.

looks cool and fast..but kinda messy. i dont no if anyone agrees with me, but it wasnt the smoothest run.. i dont no, this vid prob not the best indication of how the car handles cuz we dont know what the driver is trying to do.. but it does look pretty fast, yet..again, somewhat of a messy run in my opinion.

In some part of the video, I see some similarities to the 6 series, I kinda like it.

Looks like it has a lot of body roll to it.

I guess that's what happens when the G now weighs 3700 lbs!!!!

No matter what they do to the engine and suspension to compensate, the G is getting heavier and heavier every year. Not a good recipe for a true sports sedan--that's 100's of pounds heavier than the Bimmer.
