I don't think I have met a single person who does not find the current coupe atleast good looking, if not absolutely sexy.

I am also keeping my fingers crossed that the older models will not take a huge depreciation hit. Judging by the styling of the new car, I think the current Gs will remain in high demand.

I was really going to consider an upgrade too the new coupe, but I think I will hold on to my baby for atleast a little while longer

The original G35 Coupe exterior was designed by the same guy who designed the GT-R's exterior. I wonder if he was involved in the redesign of the G. Probably wasn't- he was probably all wrapped up doing the GT-R. Looks like too many females and committees got involved in the G redesign to me.

Thanks for all the responses! I am glad that atleast some people feel the same way as me! While I think Infiniti nailed the new sedan design, I cannot help but feel underwhelmed by the new coupe.

The current G coupe is just one of those classic designs. I think that the current G coupe and the S2000 are the two most dynamic looking road cars currently... for less than 100 grand.

this is what i'm hoping for as well.
I've at a crossroad for the past 2 months if I should sell my coupe or not, I think now that I see what the 08 will look like, I'm definitely leaning more towards keeping mine, and praying its value won't go down too much. Plus I have the 03 it has lots quite a bit already so I really hope the worse part has passed already.

This was my first thought exactly when I saw it. I thought "it looks good, if a girl was driving it". It really reminds me of a Solara and I always thought the solara's are girly cars.

However, being a girl I still wouldn't even consider getting the new coupe. I like my cars a little more sporty/agressive looking, and the new G is giving me none of that.

So I'm definitely taking it off of my wish-list.

I can understand low torque motors in light cars but with a 3600 lb car, I'd prefer a torque *** motor!

I think it looks OK, it will probably grow on me. I love my 06 but they did make minor improvements on the exterior as well as major ones in the interior. In all I will keep my car, I just like the styling and it's almost paid for . I'm sure when people start customizing those G37's they will look sweet!

STOP HATING!

That's an interesting observation. To read the stuff on this forum one would think they released a 145 hp tin can that looks like an Aztec.

Tell me about it, Jealous 1st Gen Owners, saying there car will be a lifetime legend, and will last and look sexy forever.. I personally think every new car in the market is getting soft touches, the 90's style of Boxy Cars is goin away, so yes it seems feminine now, but after a year or two you will see its just where the auto industry is headed in the future

lol that second pic reminds me of the Mazda 3 :P, I really dont like how the new coupe is looking.. even the new M3 missed its mark, it looks too much like a Japanese car than a BMW. The new audi's coming out do look attractive
