Honestly, how can they possibly think its going to be only as fast as the 07 Sedan? 07 Sedan has 306hp, this has 330, and the weight difference is negligible .

It will probably be slightly faster but I wouldn't expect much. The weight is about 3-4% more than the sedan. Torque has no peak gain, broader curve and peak hp up about 8%. Gearing has changed which may have the largest bearing on any change in acceleration.

Agreed... I doubt any official testing gets to 60 in under 5.

Actually it's generally the other way around. The guys who do the testing for the magazines are quite good since they drive cars hard all of the time. Moreover, they will run multiple tests at various RPM launches until they get the absolute fastest run from that car. Car abuse means nothing to them since they don't own the car. Finally, most magazines will adjust for conditions. So if the temperature is really hot or they test at a high elevation, some time will be subtracted from their test drive.

Bottom line is that for most magazines, the time posted will be really tough to exceed unless you use some measuring device inside your car that is no where near as accurate as the guys use at the magazines. A much better indication of the performance that you can expect to get from your car comes from the manufacturers.
