I hate to superimpose the graphs. I feel as though hp and torque is about 50% of the equation. The other 50% is how the car feels at the track. With an LSD and good 6MT, I think the G37 will be a formidable car. And it won't break down in the second lap.
Looks good from a quick glance. The 335 really does have better torque everywhere except in the high rpm's. The 335 should feel stronger in general, but the G's high rpm power will likely make it faster than the 335 even with the bmw weighing in 150lbs less.

The biggest issue to overcome for two people comparing these cars is that the 335's power can easily be upgraded. The new VQ37HR-VVEL is certainly an amazing N/A motor though. That is astounding for an N/A V6. They need to put all of this engine tech to work on a V8

Unbelieveable!

According to the power to weight ratio, the G37 & 335i are neck to neck.

The interior is by far the worst part of the E90/E92.

This is getting better and better! I really enjoy this forum. Seeing and hearing the G37 doing its thing makes me think twice about waiting those few months and just pay MSRP as the dealer already offered to take delivery in September. Hummm....

The A5 in Europe is getting bad reviews for its handling/chassis. Not sure how the S5 will be but for now at least I have decided against the S5..

oh how I really wish the new G37 wasn't so damn heavy.. Imagine this car if it was even a hefty 3400 pounds!

You're talking about a 100lb difference. That is nothing. Basically .1 in the 1/4 miles. Negligible at best.

I'm glad to see it made good power over what was expected.

Doesn't the new G37 have Ram Air? Wouldn't this make the power rating even higher when driving vs a dyno ?

The g37 is 3700 pounds for the sport!! 100 pound is significant, 300 pounds is a lot! .1 in a 1/4 mile is significant too to many people.

I prefer a 3000lb car tops, but in the luxury segment I can understand that to be difficult. Still, 3700 is hard to swallow. That is creeping in on Charger and future Challenger territory.
