I don't suppose anyone else cares the BMW looks as boring as a 90's Volvo when parked next to a G37? No?

No, G37 has better power to weight ratio by a significant amount.

Even though its 150lb heavier, the 50hp makes up for it... alot.

Who said the 335 makes more power to the wheels?

Check out the Dyno comparison between the G37 & 335i. The G37 makes more power to the wheels, which should be no surpriced with its 330hp engine.

Here's the graph: Cant wait to see these two in action

Ok so lets get it straight. If i had a g37 and 335i and they were racing who would win? Lets just make it simple cuz some ppl dont seem to understand this tech stuff.

Just noticed that the pics seem to indicate the sport model will bear a G37 S on the rear of the car. I don't believe this was in the NY auto show car was it? Sweet!

why is the VQ35HR only getting 235RWHP??

i thought they tested earlier having 285RWHP....

287RWHP on the VQ37 isnt totally impressive. i'm still sticking with a 335i with PROcede which will push to around 330RWHP with a $1500 chip.
also, the 335i have roughly 30-40 more HP in 2000-7000RPM then the G37. even the peak power the VQ37 is higher by about 12HP, the mid-range power is much lower then the 335.

stock to stock will be very comparible. but there is no way it can keep up with a PROcede 335i, unless the VQ37 is FI

Stock vs Stock my bet is on the G37. Top-end power is great for acceleration.

PROcede 335 will trounce a g37, true. But at what price? Running turbo's constantly will wear them much faster and you pay a price premium for the TT's. Not only that but the 335 doesn't look as good as the G37.

335i will probably still be faster, but oh well...

Just a question........why is so many people so concerned with whether the G37 is faster than the 335i or vice versa? If one is a tenth or two quicker than the other, who really cares? And before all of you jump on my @ss, I know that there are a few that take their car to the track on a regular basis and I guess I can see the point in that case. BUT, the amount of people that track their car here is so minimal that I can only come to the conclusion that people want the faster car merely for bragging rights. Am I off base here? Maybe it's just me, but I buy a car that stirs my soul, and I couldn't care less if it may or may not be a tad slower than it's competitor.

Anyways, I'm just rambling.......don't mind me.

Yeaaap, CAST not forged. As seen in the post by InfinitiMichael below:

6) Will the wheels on the sport versions of the AT and MT be forged or are they also cast?

A. The 19” wheels, available as part of the Tire/Wheel package and Sport package on AT transmission vehicles and standard on Sport 6MT vehicles, are cast.

hahaha you are completely right, Im not going to the track at all. I just like knowing my car beats its competitor technology wise, speed wise, and luxury wise. Just makes you feel good. Or maybe it s just me
