Front bumper
Front bumper
I thought I read somewhere that the difference in sport and non-sport bumpers is due to air intake or air dam. Does this make sense for a sport model to have a clarge center opening for performance reason?
I hate the look of the sport bumper. That and L headlights make the face look more like Toyota/Lexus.

Anything is possible I suppose -- It was one of the original speculations that came up when the 2008 G Sketch surfaced - that a more conventional/larger front opening would obviously bring cooler air to the radiator, intakes etc.
The second was noting how the front bumper lost the sharp edged center that the concept had -- this was speculated (and probably is correct) to do with meeting some sort of bumper crash regulations. Something too pointy in the front would probably eat up too much damage on impact.

I want the non-sport bumper so I thought I would get a Journey w/ Sports pkg but my dealer thinks that would come with the Sport bumper. Does this mean there is no way to get a Sport with non-sport bumper? Does anyone have more info?
You can get the non-sport bumper, but you have to get the base G37 without the sport package. It is a matter of preference, I personally prefer the sport bumper, which is why I ordered it.
