I have to really disagree. I think edmunds will give a fair account of the G37. The G37 will beat the 335i in many areas, and lose to it in many also. It depends on what is important to you.

Remember it is really the G37 vs the 328i coupe. They are close in price. The 335i is 5000 bucks more. To bimmerfest people that is chicken feed, to me it is not. I have a 40,000ish limit. If I go over that number I would look at different cars to compete with the 335i, like the vette, or cayman.

From what I have read the G37 is going to come very close to the 335i. That is good enough for me.

I wouldn't put too much credence to this guy's comment. For all we know, he could be just some guy trying to make a name for himself.

If you can't figure out the design flaw there then I won't draw it out for you "ding-dong".
so if you can avoid the metal on the seat belt while its hot why the hell cant you avoid the top of the shift **** while its hot????????????

Question on the other metal trim

Does the metal lining inside the car get hot as well? (Besides the metal on the shift ****?) Or is it like a metallic looking trim?

The aluminum on the coupe door panel looks very nice and highly polished compared to the sedan's not so hot panel.... Regardless, both interiors are very beautiful and in my opinion the best in the segment. The 3 series interiors looks garbage next to the 37's interior...meanwhile the IS comes in second place. Even the TL's interior doesnt match that of the 37.

i love the new g.. and the interior over gen1 is a huge improvement... but.. i have to say.. after test driving a lexus is350.. that interior is top notch. It's a stretch to say the new g interior is better or worse over lexus. I'd have to lean towards lexus on this one.. even though i have a g37 on order.

How about getting a nice pair of driving gloves: heating problem resolved, in addition no fingerprints on the windows...And you might even look cool to your date.

Wow, what a girl. Actually I take that back. I know some girls who wouldn't even complain about something like this. My car is a black on black 6MT and while it gets hotter than hell sometimes after leaving it in the sun for a few hours I have yet to burn my hand on the shifter trim. Sheesh.

I have to disagree, the Interior of the IS350 "feels" big and bulky, has way to many different color lights (counted like 5? green? orange? red? white? blue? not clean...), to top it off the car is garnished in wood, which is nasty. The one thing I will give it is the seats and the straight line performance. It's obvious they weren't aiming to make a sports sedan with this car, or else its a failed attempt. The seats are super plush which is comfortable but not sporty, the suspension is super soft which is comfortable but not sporty, the handling is not THAT bad as people make it sound although the car is not very planted. For not trying, toyota did good, but all in all i don't know who they are trying to compete with when they don't even offer a 6MT. Sorry, I had to rant, my opinion =)
