lol, it's nice to see someone quantifying their 'feelings'.

Hehe... I actually never thought of this whole thing like that until I started posting on this thread. I must say... it does actually help me make decisions with other situations. At least I got my point across.

When I was picking my car, I had a Excel spread sheet that had 25+ categories down and 7 cars lined across. (G35 Coupe, G35 Sedan, BMW 330, Lexus IS300, Subaru WRX, Mercedes C320) The final result shows the G35 sedan on top and G35 Coupe 2nd place. Then I threw out that Excel sheet and bought the G35 Coupe anyways. You know you really love something when you can't make any sense out of it - you just do.

I find people who quantify their feelings and follow these charts tend to end up with Accords, Civics and Camrys.

Did you know luxury brands were created just for the North American markets. I wonder what that says about 'us'.

I really love the G37. That was the first time that I ever had to "quantify" my feelings and make that chart.

Luxury sales worldwide(I'm talking Versace, Valentino, etc.) reached 150 billion last year of which 30 percent came from the U.S., so I guess you are right. We like to indulge.

Hey, I sell luxury products. My products may not be cars but the same rule applies. People want prestige, the latest and greatest, and the products that are the most exclusive. That will never change. Same goes for cars. Honestly, (call me a snob if you'd like) after being introduced to many a luxury line whether it be clothes, cars, personal care products, wine & spirits, etc., I can never go back to mediocre products. So, I'm guilty of wanting luxury, too.
