Motor Trend 335i vs G37 Video

They tested a red six speed. The BMW overheated during the video.

Infiniti FTMFW! I dont like the design much and still hasnt grown on me but at least they made alot of improvement where they lacked in the g35.

Good find...

Driver seemed very impressed with the car around the track. I'm surprised that he thought the G was faster around the track even though the 335 had noticeably more torque.

For everyone that is worried that the G is too "refined", it seems that the 335 is alot more so. The guy must have said the 3-series was quieter and made less fuss about 5x.

I really enjoyed that he called the car a "rocket." It seemed as if he was not expecting it to move so fast. It seems to be a great all around car.

Boy, that 335i is impressive coming out of the turn. It just lurches forward.

I really enjoy revving a car out. I feel it makes you a better driver around the twisties.

Both are really great cars and the videos were fun to watch. You can't go wrong. Videos like these only reinforce my decision. I also truly feel that the driver was no biased and was complimenting both cars on their strengths.

GREAT FIND!

Awesome videos, thanks for posting the links. Both cars are absolutely amazing. I like that the driver seemed very unbiased, gave pros/cons of both cars and was very professional in his analysis! A person would be very lucky to have either one of these machines in their garage, but seeing this video reminds me why I ordered my G37!

good video, but I remember reading somewhere the car MT got was abused by Infiniti beforehand and purposely given to MT to test because it didn't have the oil cooler that 335i cars now have.

Sweet find!

For those that are still trying to decide between the G37 and the 335i, I think the decision just got that much tougher.

Wow amazing! Thanks for the great find!

(I wonder how many people are going to somehow make negative comments on the G37 from these videos... lol)

The G37 looks like a real beauty and it certainly impressed him. Moments like these make me so much happier than I'm getting the G37. I can't wait until August!

Great find. I have a few die hard BMW fans that need to see this. I thought only the auto ones had temp problems.

There is one guy in the bimmer forum who had his 335i went into limp mode not because of the oil temp but because the turbo got too hot. From what he said, it seems to be two separate things.

It seemed the Infiniti was the car that was "too hot"... but in a good way!!!

Thanks for the great find!

I completely agree. I love those videos. I really loved when the BMW burnt out... but that's just me. Don't get me wrong... I think the 335i is a great machine, but it was just nice seeing the "king of its class" having major issues that the "contender" didn't even have. In terms of tennis (if you watch tennis you'll understand)... it's like seeing Roger Federer actually being really challenged (sort of like how it was at Wimbledon this year with Rafael Nadal in the finals... such a great match and nail biter).
