G37, Will it have after market parts?

The shared platform of the 350z helped the performance of the g35, but will we see a lack of compatible parts because there is not matching Z? I don't see this car being as successful as the last.

Why not? Because the approximate 3% of owners who actually modded their G35 have to pay more for parts now?

Under your logic, cars like the Cobalt SS and SRT-4's should sell like crazy...neither of them are no longer in production (well the Cobalt SS is done after this year).

I don't think he means that. I think his point is that the G37 and the 350Z (at least until 2009 when the 350z is suppose to get the 3.7) will not have interchangeable parts so will that affect the quantity of aftermarket parts. Having parts that work on two different performance cars engines tends to help drive the need to make the parts.

Why in the world wouldn't the G37 be as successful as the G35?

Agreed. Although I'm not crazy about bodykits, the concept has me spoiled. The G37 NEEDS a bodykit...

Exactly. I think the only reason we see a strong aftermarket kits, brakes, intakes, all the little toys we like, is because there's a Z.

As to after market parts for GM's, that for people wish they could have a better car.

Because its not completely new, like the G35. I see a lot more G35 owners than G37 owners in the future. I bet people can't wait to get a g35, as owners move on to BMW, Lexus, and the new g35.

I wouldn't mind there being less G37s on the road. It just makes my car that much more unique.

You have to consider how many people are going to come into the Infiniti "family" because of the G37. I never even considered Infiniti until I saw the G37. Before then I was going to go with either: BMW 335i or Lexus IS350 as my top 2 choices. I'm sure there are more people going in then going out. I know there will be a lot of old G35 owners that will transfer to the new coupe.

But as likwidfuzion said... I wouldn't mind there being less G37s on the road either! Unlike the 3-series coupe which is numerous.

Similar to what you said yimbie, theress alot of people who dont own a g35 but want the g37, or they wanted the g35 didnt have the money and found out about the g37 coming out, have the money and want it because it's new.

I cant really picture a body kit for this car, and i cant really picture what aftermarket companies will do with this car either. I know they will do something.

Short answer? Yes. Will there be as many as the G35? Most likely...no.

There will be lots of parts for it. The 35 did very well so I'm sure the 37 will continue.

The G37's big price increase over the G35 was a shocker. Just for this reason alone, and the new wishy-washy exterior look plus strong competition I think the G37 will not sell as well as the G35 did (after the initial rush wears off).

If someone could make a body kit that makes it look more like the concept coupe, that would be awesome!
