Hey guys recently ive been hearing there have been free iphones given away with the pre order of a g37 but ive only heard that from those in chicago. any other cities being given these offers?

 

I wish - I could use the money (by selling the IPhone to someone on EBay since it's junk to us Microsoft Employees) (j/k)

 

Yep, I'm getting my G and my iPhone next week!! (Fields Infiniti of Glencoe, IL)

 

No such deal at Peninsula Infiniti in Redwood City, CA that I know of. Not that I mind since I already have an iPhone.

 

Hmmm... I haven't heard of that. I wouldn't mind getting an iPhone for free.. but only for free. Hundreds of dollars on a... phone? geez. I got the new black cherry chocolate for free (with 2 year contract) and I love it. I thought I would use it for a lot of other stuff but I only use it for actually talking with other people, text messaging, and pix messaging. I'm not wasting minimum $500. That excitement is over. iPhone is now just like any other phone now.

 

Haha, well I wouldn't bet on that. Once you've used an iPhone for at least a day, then you look at other phones, the other phones will look and feel very outdated. What Apple did with the iPhone is something that other phone companies lack: features that are user-friendly aka accessible. Apple didn't just cram features into the iPhone as can be seen. However, they took those features and perfected it (well almost, there are still flaws lol). The integration, GUI, and user experience is what sets it apart.

Also, it has one of the largest community followings, considering that it has been out for less than 2 months. Sites like Digg, Facebook, Meebo, and many others have made specific ports just for the iPhone. This doesn't even include the hacking community. You'd be hard pressed to find as many third-party support for another phone.

I do agree that it is pretty pricey (as with all other Apple products), but you pay a premium to have the luxury (just like with a G37 haha)

 

I think the ipone deals are only available in certain dealers. For business strategies.

 

i wont hijak the thread.. only to say the cost of the iphone is irrelevant considering the monthly "2 year cost" of your phone plan. over the same two years that iPhone costs just about the same as most other phones from verizon or sprint... and i'll have to correct you on one small detail. its definately NOT like any other phone.. easy to say if you dont own one. Apply that statement to the new G.. is it like any other car on the road for you?

I keep pinching myself that THE day is almost here.

I've planned a trip in early September through Wisconsin to break it in over probably 700-800 miles in 3 days. Lots and lots of twisty twisty roads. That should help ease all those months of reading and looking at pictures.
